Sourcing some cheeses and salamis for an antipasto starter for our Croatian meal meant a trip into Borough Market to a specialist shop. Did you know the train from Letchworth now stops at London Bridge which means you arrive directly at the market? A second course of grilled sardines was followed by a Chicken Goulash served with pasta and gnocchi. On our recent trips to Croatia, dessert was usually an ice cream bought from the many Gelatarias while strolling down to sit at the harbour. So after borrowing an ice cream maker, we produced four different ices and sorbets to recreate the Gelataria experience complete with cones, toppings and of course a chocolate flake. A very satisfying evening complete with Croatian Wine.
