Monday, 8 January 2018 - 10:15am

The first speaker will be Sue Lines who will talk on the Digswell Arts Trust.

The main speaker will be Ken Griffin giving a talk on Letchworth Convicts 1770 – 1870. Ken will include in the talk information on his 3-times great-grandfather, who although he was living in Ware, was born in 1786 in Willian. He was a convict who was sent to Tasmania to serve his 14-year sentence. Also Ken will show a brief rolling Powerpoint presentation, which shows the surnames of the 2,535 Hertfordshire Convicts – maybe your surname will be mentioned!

The meeting will be held at the Settlement, Nevells Road, Letchworth, 10.15am for a 10.30am start, £2.50 LALG members, £3.50 non-members.

This is an ideal opportunity to meet old friends and new; people you don’t necessarily meet within your own groups.
