Tours of John Bunyan Museum & Bunyan Meeting, and St Paul's Church.

John Bunyan was born in Bedford in 1628. His 12 years in Bedford prison (for illegal preaching) inspired the vision for The Pilgrim's Progress. We will have a tour of the John Bunyan Museum, which shows life in 17th Century Bedford and Bunyan's time in jail, plus the Bunyan Meeting, an independent church with links to Bunyan.

After lunch we will have a tour of the nearby St Paul's Church and its fantastic medieval woodwork.

Meet in the Bunyan Meeting coffee shop, Mill Street, Bedford, from 10.30am for an 11am tour lasting about an hour. You can continue to browse the complex and have lunch in one of the many local cafes and bars before we meet in St Paul's Church at 2.30pm.

Book your place at Letchworth Tourist Information Office (01462 487868). Cost: LALG members £6, non-members £7. Numbers are strictly limited so your place cannot be confirmed until payment is received.
