Shillington Visit

Tuesday, 12 September 2017 - 10:30am

The original Saxon church was replaced by a Norman one and then the current structure (started in the 1290s). Little has changed since – mainly repairs rather than modifications. It has graffiti scratched into the stone, a crypt, and the tomb of an 18th Century Deputy Minister for War.

Meet in the church at 10.30am for a talk and tour. There is limited parking at the church so please do not park there unless you have difficulty walking.

Book your place at Letchworth Tourist Infomation Office (01462 487868). The visit is expected to be popular so bookings are restricted to LALG members until 22nd August, when non-members may book.

Cost: LALG members £3, non-members £4, all to go to the Church.
