Call the Midwife tour and Chatham Historic Dockyard

Led by your very own ‘midwife’ this guided tour visits areas of the dockyard that have been used as locations for the previous five series of Call the Midwife and will feature new behind-the-scenes locations for the current series. Other attractions include the three Historic Warships, a Victorian sloop, a WW2 Destroyer and a Cold War submarine - Steam, Steel and Submarines. Also the Dockyard story through the Industrial Revolution and two World Wars together with No.1 Smithery: A treasure trove of maritime retreats. Tours can also be arranged of the dockyard and the ropery – please ask for details when booking. Lunch can be taken at the new Mess Deck or the Wagon Stop Canteen or bring your own refreshments and enjoy them in any of the open spaces. The cost is £31.00 (for entry to the Dockyard and Ropery tour) or £35 to include a Midwife or Dockyard tour. (Non-LALG £32 or £36). The coach will leave Baldock (opp. Community Centre) at 8.30am and Letchworth (opp. Barclays) at 8.45am.
