St Mary the Virgin, Letchworth

Thursday, 22 September 2016 - 2:00pm

Dating back to the 12th Century, this was the parish church of Letchworth Village. The porch was added during the 15th Century and the belfry around 1500 (the bell it houses dates back to the 14th Century). It also has some interesting burials in the graveyard. Meet in the church for a talk and tour starting at 2.00pm. Please note the visit does not include refreshments, and there are no toilet facilities.

Spaces are limited so please book at Letchworth Tourist Information Office (33-35 Station Road, tel 01462 487868), saying whether you need a lift or can provide one. Cost: LALG members £2, non-members £3 (all to go to Friends of St Mary’s fund for use in the Church).
