Combermere Barracks in Windsor

Wednesday, 3 February 2016

Combermere Barracks is the home of the Household Cavalry which consists of The Life Guards and The Blues and Royals. They are the oldest and most senior regiments in the British Army and are split between two different units equipped to perform two quite different roles.

We will arrive at the museum at 10.00am where we will be given a short talk followed by a walk around the barracks, see some training and meet the horses in the stables. On return to the museum there will be uniforms to try on and any questions can be asked. Lunch in the mess will be included in the trip.

The cost will be a total of £32 for LALG members and £34 for non-members. The coach will leave Baldock outside Templars Restaurant (formerly Zeus) at 8.15am and Letchworth opposite Barclays bank at 8.30am.
