Lichfield Tuesday 28 June

Although this is one of the smallest cities in England it has much to offer. We start our visit with a tour of the wonderful cathedral. The rest of the day is yours to do as you please. Tuesday is market day but there are many other places to see. St Mary's in the Market Square is now a Heritage Centre and traces the 2000 years of Lichfield history. The Samuel Johnson home is open to visitors and features his life up to his fame as the author of his dictionary. There is also the beautiful Beacon Park just over the road from the Minster Pool.

The coach will leave: Baldock (near Tesco opposite ‘The Boot’) at 8.00am; Letchworth (opposite Barclays Bank) at 8.15am; Hitchin ( St. Mary's Square) at 8.30am.
