Saturday, 4 July 2015 - 9:30am

A walk of about 5 miles around Deptford with its associations with Henry VIII and Peter the Great among others. We see prize-winning modern architecture, old churches and examples of Victorian engineering as well as great views of the Thames.

Group leaders Celia and Robert Lord.

Dates: Friday June 5th

Please note that,  because it takes longer to travel to Deptford, on the Friday and Thursday walks we will be  meeting at Letchworth station at the later time of 10.30 to catch the train at 10.56 (Baldock 10.52, Hitchin 11.00) changing at Kings Cross for the Northern Line and train from London Bridge. We will return to Kings Cross

for the first train after 7.00pm. This will allow us time to complete the walk. On the Saturday walk we will meet at the usual time of 9.30 at Letchworth station for

the 10.56 train (9.52 Baldock, 10.99 Hitchin) as we are not restricted by the return time.
