The Ceramic Poppy Installation - Tower of London

A moving and beautiful occasion.

On Sunday 2 November, nearly 100 members of LALG visited the commemorative display of poppies at the Tower of London, for those killed in World War 1. We heard the emotive notes of the Last Post and the Roll of Honour, with the names of many of those killed in WW1. The trip also included a tour of the new WW1 galleries at the Imperial War Museum and some of us were able to make a brief stop at the Bomber Command Memorial.
