Travel Buddies aims to make day trips, city breaks or take longer holidays with like-minded local people. Some of us are single; some have partners who don't want to travel; and others are happy to join in as couples. 

 We appreciate travelling as a group to tackle getting there and back safely together and  it is good to look out for one another and to feel that others are looking out for you.  We know we have different interests and might spend our day in twos or alone while, in the evening, sharing details of our day at a mutually agreed restaurant.

Some of us are happy to share a bedroom; others prefer a single room. We have agreed to try to use buses and trains whenever possible, being concerned about our carbon foot print and our purses!  We feel that we can tailor our trips as we wish, unlike the well advertised trips where one has to slot in to what's on offer. 

If you enjoy planning what you want to do, Travel Buddies may suit you!  We all have ideas of where we’d like to go and indeed the more people we attract the more likely it is for your trip to happen.

We hope that both established Travel Buddies and newcomers will do some research on their interests for city breaks, days out or longer holidays. Email me and I will email the whole group.

I hope that Travel Buddies will see some exciting initiatives coming to fruition in 2012! We’re starting to plan a trip to Helsinki in early July to enjoy its summertime art, architecture, music and more.....  So let's hear from you!
