Ebenezer Howard Memorial Lecture

Tuesday, 1 May 2018 - 7:30pm

The Ebenezer Howard Memorial Lecture at The Spirella Ballroom.

The Letchworth Heritage Group, comprising the LALG Letchworth Local History Group, the Garden City Society and the Garden City Cottages Group, are proud that Lord Taylor of Goss Moor has agreed to come to the Spirella Ballroom on 1 May to talk about  the relevance of Ebenezer Howard's concepts in today's world under the title of 'Ebenezer Howard - A 21st Century Renaissance?'

The Right Honourable The Lord Taylor of Goss Moor (pictured below) is a Member of the House of Lords and well known expert world-wide on town planning and the Garden City idea.

Tickets are only £7 and can be obtained from the Letchworth Tourist Information Centre in Station Road or David's Bookshop in Eastcheap. Pay with cash or by cheque made out to 'LALG'.

Ebenezer Howard died in 1928 so this year is the 90th anniversary of his death and an appropriate time for a memorial lecture.

In addition there'll be music by the Garden City Band, your friendly local brass band, founded in Letchworth over one hundred years ago.
