Visit to Mons

Sunday 11 November
Monday 12 November
Tuesday 13 November
Wednesday 14 November

The Battle of Mons was the first major battle of World War One and it was here that the last shots of WW1 were fired. 11 November 2018 commemorates Armistice Day in Mons. Travel buddies would like you to join us on this centenary event to visit battlefields around Mons and Nimy Bridge, the excellent Mons War Museum, moving memorials including that of Canadian soldier George Lawrence Price, rec-ognised as the last to die during The Great War, plus, the St. Symphorien Ceme-tery where the first and last casualties of the battle are now laid to rest.

We are hoping to undertake the trip with a specialist tour company lasting 4 days and departing from Letchworth Garden City on 11 November 2018. The whole trip will cost around £380 which will include travel by coach, 3 nights hotel stay with continental breakfast and guided by a specialist Battlefield Guide.
