Birmingham Christmas Market

Birmingham Christmas Market

Wednesday, 7 December 2016 - 8:00am

The largest authentic German Christmas market outside of Germany or Austria, Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market offers a large range of traditional goods and gifts, such as hand-crafted decorations, toys, jewellery and more, and a selection of tempting food and drink. Pretzels, schnitzels, bratwursts, and roasted almonds will tempt your taste buds, all of which can be washed down with gluhwein, weissbier (wheat beer), or tasty hot chocolate. Enjoy the live music programme on Victoria Square and whilst you’re here why not pick up some presents for your family and friends with everything from hand-crafted wooden decorations and delicate glass baubles in the form of the ever-favourite crystal lamps, Sounds of Nature, hand-crafted leatherwork, toys, jewellery and much more besides!

The Christmas Craft Market, adjacent to the Frankfurt Christmas Market, features West Midlands traders selling an entirely different selection of beautiful handcrafted items created by local artisans, as well as ethnic goods imported from all over the world. Stalls offer a huge array of locally hand-crafted items, including decorative ironwork, wood carvings, handbags, toys, musical instruments and organic soaps and cosmetics.

Other stalls offer ethnic handicrafts, imported from places such as Africa, India and South America.

In addition, a range of locally produced food and drink is on offer including organic sausages, real ale from micro-breweries, home-made chutneys and cheeses.
