New Testament Appreciation is a small and friendly group; members come from a variety of religious backgrounds with similarly varied experience and knowledge of Biblical texts, from the patchy to the well-versed. All are welcome to join us. We aim to study the texts to appreciate and understand the written word, as a work of literature with reference to literary sources, the historical and cultural environment in which the texts were written and for whom they were written  and the Message the authors hoped to relate, both to their contemporaries and now.

A topic is uually chosen for discussion; to date topics have been the Canonical Gospels; The Gospel According to St John, The Destruction of Jerusalem.
