Lincoln visit

Thursday, 14 May 2015 - 8:00am

Thursday 14 May – Lincoln
The cathedral is one of Europe’s magnificent Gothic buildings. William the Conqueror had Lincoln castle built in 1068. Within the walls you will find a fascinating Victorian prison and a special exhibition of one of only four surviving copies of the Magna Carta. Also a newly completed Wall walk.
Why not explore the Brayford Waterfront and board a guided canal trip? No problem with Steep Hill as a Walk and Ride Shuttle bus is an easy way to get around and takes you to the many cafés, restaurants and shops.
The cost of this trip is £14 for the coach. Entrance to the cathedral, with a guided tour, coffee/tea and biscuits on arrival is £9. An optional extra is a roof tour at 2.00pm at a cost of £4. This is limited to 7 people. Please state at time of booking if you wish to join any of these tours. All members of LALG and friends are welcome.
The coach will leave Baldock near Tesco (opposite The Boot) at 8.00am and Letchworth (opposite Barclays bank) at 8.15am.
To book ring Anita Cook 01462 892136 after 9.30am on Saturday 25 April. No answer phone on this day.
