May 2011 Meeting - Matching Food and Wine

Our May meeting was a ‘Matching Food and Wine’ meal at the Indulge Restaurant at the Centre for the Arts in Hitchin when a selection of French wines from The Wine Society were matched to the French Night theme evening menu...

The menu for the evening was as follows:

Cherry tomatoes stuffed with cream cheese and chives

Beef bourguignon

Chateau de Camarsac, 2007, Bordeaux Superieur

Almond Grand Marnier mousse with vanilla jelly and fresh fruit

Château La Grave, 2007, Sainte Croix du Mont

French fancies & a French surprise

Thanks to the fantastic service provided by the Catering and Hospitality students and staff, we had a most enjoyable night and I’m sure we will want to try something similar next year.
