30th anniversary party for LALG members - Broadway Hotel, Letchworth

Details coming soon on website and in the August newsletter

Three Horseshoes, Willian

Several groups used to hold meetings the Three Horseshoes at Willian. This has been taken over by Tracey Owen & Karl. They have recently reopened and are in the process of refurbishing the kitchen and would like to take the opportunity to invite any group back.

They will have a new menu and buffet menu and will not be charging a room rental rate for those groups that either eat or drink during their meetings.

If your group would be interested in holding meetings at The Three Horseshoes, please contact Tracey or Karl (01462 685 713)

We had a very interesting talk about these lovely (and necessary) creatures by the Wildlife Trust. Please download their Hedgehog fact sheet (below) for fascinating facts, and top tips on how to help them.

We have several groups that would benefit from some help with planning and organising activities, If you would be willing to help please contact William Armitage on 01462 684631.

Don't worry, training and support will be given, so be brave and get in touch!

What is LALG?

What we are - What we do

LALG – Letchworth Arts & Leisure Group – an amazing organisation – started in Letchworth, envied and copied by other towns.  We are an umbrella organisation embracing around ninety groups of interests and activities, mainly in or around Letchworth, Hitchin, and Baldock, but extending to Stevenage and surrounding villages.

All the groups are self-sufficient and the LALG subscription (from £10 a year) ensures a monthly printed newsletter, showing all their activities, and access to them all. Membership includes the WHOLE HOUSEHOLD. We have over 1500 households and are growing steadily. Click here to go to our membership page.
