LALG's 30th Anniversary

2017 will see LALG reach 30, stronger, more active, with more members than ever before - we are now planning our celebrations and plotting our way towards our 40th year.

We would like to hear from members who could help with shaping our plans with interesting ideas for events and we would also like to hear from people with modern IT and Publishing skills to help design a new Logo, a new Website, to freshen up our Newsletter and help develop our IT system and membership database.

Please send your suggestions or if you would like to join us, drop your name off to David’s Bookshop or email publicity@lalg.org.uk mentioning LALG Anniversary.

What is LALG?

What we are - What we do

LALG – Letchworth Arts & Leisure Group – an amazing organisation – started in Letchworth, envied and copied by other towns.  We are an umbrella organisation embracing around ninety groups of interests and activities, mainly in or around Letchworth, Hitchin, and Baldock, but extending to Stevenage and surrounding villages.

All the groups are self-sufficient and the LALG subscription (from £10 a year) ensures a monthly printed newsletter, showing all their activities, and access to them all. Membership includes the WHOLE HOUSEHOLD. We have over 1500 households and are growing steadily. Click here to go to our membership page.

Explore our website or click here to discover the many existing groups.

Click here to easily become a member.  One LALG membership covers the whole household at that address. Showing a current LALG card (the IVORY coloured one marked ‘Expires 31/08/2016’) gets you discounts at many local services and retailers.
