LALG Brainstorming Session

Saturday 20 March, 9.30am to 12.30pm

The Brunt Room, Letchworth Settlement, Nevells Road, Letchworth.   (Refreshments provided.)

Have your say and help create a more exciting LALG.

The LALG has existed for more than 20 years, starting with 50 members and six Groups. Today we have 1,200 households and more than 60 Groups.

Now is the time to look at ourselves.

Are we providing for the needs of our members?
What about those who are not members or were members?
Does it matter that the majority of us are over fifty?
            Are we exciting enough?
Should we use email more for publicity?
With more volunteers we could do more trips - how do we get them?
Should there be more get-togethers for all members?

We need your ideas.

To register your intention to attend please leave your details at David’s Bookshop (01462 684631).

Our new LALG Website

As you can see we now have the new LALG website up and running!  We hope this will be more interesting, informative and useful.

We do however continue to need some help:

  • We have put up entries for each Group, but if we have forgotten yours, or you would like to say something different about your Group, please let us know and send an alternative entry.
  • Unlike the Newsletter, the website has lots of room for additional stories and pictures about your Group, what it has done in the past or is planning in the future. Again, please send us the material you would like to see on the site.
  • Maintaining this will take some extra effort. We would very much like to expand the website editorial team so that the work can be spread around. This is an editorial, not a technical, task, so if you are interested please let us have your name.

Please email all responses to any of these requests to website@lalg.org.uk.

Help us make this a site you will want to visit.
